Readiness for Future Pandemics

Logistical Preparedness for future pandemics is very important

I suggest the following: divide the country into four parts; draw a line from the middle of North Dakota through Texas and from the middle of California through Virginia. Build four plants to manufacture N95 masks and ventilators: one in Wyoming, one in New Mexico, one in Wisconsin and one Mississippi. Wyoming will supply the States in the Northwestern quadrant. Wisconsin will supply the States in the Northeastern quadrant. New Mexico will supply the States in Southwestern quadrant. Mississippi will supply the States in the Southeastern quadrant. Kansas will be the center that logistically coordinates each quadrant. The centers will be used in states of emergency due to pathogenic crises, such as what America and the world is currently experiencing. We need to face the fact that viral and other microbiological pathogens will be a recurring issue in the United States and worldwide. Having such manufacturing centers and a coordinating logistical center in our country will allow the U.S. to have a rapid response of making and distributing the needed supplies to the States.
